LMBA to Host Meet & Greet During October 13th Gathering

INFORMATION: LM MARKETPLACE
DATE: Saturday, October 13th, 2018
TIME: 11AM to 3PM
PLACE: Dr. Despirito’s Parking Lot, 654 Red Lion Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA  19006 (Alongside HV Fire Company)
WHO: Active LMBA Businesses
WHAT TO EXPECT: Come and meet and greet Lower Moreland businesses, who will be providing information about their companies, handing out valuable coupons, and offering samples of their wares.

The LMBA is pleased to announce the inaugural “LM Marketplace” being held on Saturday, October 13th in cooperation with the Huntingdon Valley Fire Company and Lower Moreland Township Commissioners.

“As we work to re-energize our business association, one of our modest goals this year was to find a way to remind our community that Lower Moreland already has a vibrant and rich offering of businesses to enjoy,” smiled Dr. John G. Duesler, Jr., LMBA Policy and Public Relations Director.  “Knowing that the fire company already has a fabulous open house in the fall and that many from our community attend, our board and membership came up with the idea of collaborating, so we could provide an added feature for our residents to enjoy.”

Working in cooperation with the Lower Moreland Township, the LMBA was able to gain approval for the program, which was also approved by the Huntingdon Valley Fire Company.  This level of cooperation and community spirit is one of the benefits afforded by having the association represent the business community as a whole.

“While we hope to grow the LM Marketplace in the future, this is the perfect start for our association to gain awareness in Lower Moreland.  And with the holiday shopping season only a few weeks after the Open House, its a nice bonus for businesses too,” added Duesler.

The LM Marketplace is available for active members in the LMBA to feature their wares, offer customer coupons, and provide more information to our visitors on October 13th.  RESERVE YOUR SPOT HERE.

This year, two senior were honored during the high school’s Awards Ceremony on May 31st, 2018, as they exemplified strong business leadership during their tenure as students.

This year’s Lower Moreland Business Association awardees were:

  • Jacob Miller
  • Joseph Kennedy

Both Awardees were presented a $500 stipend by Theresa DelGaiso, LMBA Memberships Coordinator, and Dr. John G. Duesler, Jr., LMBA Policy and Public Relations Director.  Congratulations to all our students!

At our May Meeting, the LMBA greeted Mrs. Cathy Siciliano and her students from the Future Business Leaders of America club.  This introductory meeting was focused on developing a shared partnership between the LMBA and the students, who bring great talents with them.  The areas of discussion included social media marketing, web site development, and community programming.

Both the LMBA and the FBLA committed their respective organizations to provide support to the needs of the other, with the business association providing a platform for the students to demonstrate their abundant skills, as both groups flourish.
